Embossing

I wanted an embossed only Christmas Tree so I cut out a chip board triangle for the Christmas tree and glued it onto the outside of my embossing folder.  I then ran the folder and cardstock through the Big Shot so that only the tree shape would come out embossed.  This is an old card from last Christmas so I think I am going to have to recreate it and see if I can step it up a bit for this Christmas.

Everyone has been creating these cards and they are just stunning.  Thanks to everyone for all the lovely inspiration.  It didn't take too long to put together one I got the measurements sorted out.  The triple layer card originally came from Dawn Olchefske.

Out of Africa

This is the first time I have inked up this stamp set and it looks like I will be using it a bit more.  I used the masking and rock n roll techniques on this set.  The animals are just plain ink but I used the rock n roll technique on the trees.  You can't quite see it in the photo but I used cajun craze, early espresso and river rock inks for the trees. I also used the Linen Thread as I find it is softer to work with than the Hemp Twine.
