Mixing old and new

GIft Box and Matching Card

I have been playing around with Vellum lately and found that it is really versatile.  The flower is made with a mixture of Crepe Filter Paper and vellum.  The envelope for the 3 x 3 inch card was also made with vellum.  I didn't use any adhesive on the envelope, I just held it closed with some bakers twine and the card front showed through so I didn't even decorate the envelope.  The card fits inside the box perfectly.

A Birthday Card

I made this card for my friend for her birthday.  I actually cased it from the front of the latest Stampin Up Idea Book and Catalogue but I did put my own spin on it.
