Easter Treat Box

I cased this treat box from Sam Donald.  It turned out to be the perfect size for the Maltese Easter Bunny chocolate.  Thanks Sam for sharing the instructions.  Sam has the most amazing tutorials on her blog.  Hop on over and have a look as you won't be disappointed.

I chose to make this box bright and colourful and used the free Sale-a-bration DSP and ribbon.  There are only a few more days left of Sale-a-bration so make sure you don't miss out on your free goodies for every $110 you spend.

Our granddaughter has been spending some time with us.  Here she is helping Grandpa wash the car.  I am not sure how much car washing was actually done with her sitting in the bucket of water fully clothed and supervising Grandpa!

We have also had to install lockable bolts on the top of all the doors as she (at 2 years old) knows how to unlock the doors and go outside by herself.  I guess it won't be long before she knows how to drag a chair over to the door and slide open the bolt.  We have anticipated this and made sure all the bolts have locks and removable keys so that there is no way she can get outside by herself.

Thanks for visiting

Why I have Neglected my Blog

I have been busy with my little granddaughter, Savanna.  Isn't she just a cutie.  I have still being crafting in between so will have a few cards to show you over the next few weeks.  My daughter and her husband have moved over to New Zealand from the UK last October so now I get to spend time with my little granddaughter.

Off to see the cows
Thank goodness she hasn't learnt to open the gate yet!!!!

And a card which I made ages ago.  I have been going through all my cards and found quite a stash that I need to put up on my blog.  I love the colours of this cards.  I stamped the clock onto vellum and fussy cut it so that the stamping on the card would show through.

Thanks for visiting.

Another Gift Box

I was on a roll the other day and whipped up this box with matching cards.  I used the beautiful flocked window sheet from Candlelight Christmas Speciality DSP for the lid and kept the cards really simple.  I used the EF Holiday Frames again and punched large ovals from the left over flocked window sheet for the cards.  I also cut the ribbon in half lengthwise so that it would not be too thick when posting the cards.

I love making little gifts to give to people.  Here is another couple of boxes I made the other day.  I used the nugget box tutorial from by Chiaki Haverstick.  They were really quick and easy to make.

Gift Box Set

Well life sure has been busy lately.  We have purchased some Wiltshire Ewe Lambs and they arrive today.  We are going to be breeding them.  We have managed to find a Ram Lamb but he is still a bit young so we have to wait until November for him.

We have been making some changes at home and the deck is nearly finished and the spa pool roof framing is up so just waiting for the roof now.  A few weeks ago the wind blew the spa pool cover off even ripping and breaking the latches.  It was quite badly damaged so we have ordered a new one and it should be here by the end of the week.  Well enough about my life and onto some stamping.

This is what we make at class last week.  A gift box with four cards using the Holiday Frame Embossing folder.  It would make a great gift.  This box was inspired by Chiaki Haverstick.  She has the most gorgeous tutorials.

Sneak Peek

It is nearly the 1 September which means a new Catalogue with lots of new stamps, inks and papers.  I do have a card to show you so you can have a sneak peak at one of the new stamp sets that will be available.  The ink pads have been changed and they are just fabulous to stamp with.  I also used the new In Colours which are vibrant and strong.

I fussy cut out the rose and adhered it with a dimensional so that the front part of the card tucks underneath it to keep it closed.  I layered the stamping and used the rock and roll technique on the bird.  It is a little harder to do this with the new ink pads but it can be achieved if you are very careful.

Christmas Box Set

Here is the Christmas Box Set using the one sheet wonder (from Rachel Knight) that we made at class last week.  Everyone loved it so much that they all wanted to make another set.  It was a perfect choice for Christmas cards.  Remember, I showed you a sneak peek over a week ago so here is the whole set, complete with a gift box.  It would make a lovely gift.

The new Catalogue comes out on 1 September and the retiring list is out now.  This stamp set is retiring so if you want to order it, contact me before it sells out.  There are already a few
items that have have sold out, so be quick.

Stampin’ Up! have modified the Classic Inkpads and changed the surface of the pad so that stamps get a better ink coverage which means your stamped image will look nicer, which is why the existing stamp pads are all on the retired list.
