Easter Treat Bag

Love love love these Petite Café Gift Bags!  They are even food safe.  I cut the oval by placing the framelit in the inside of the bag with the cutting lip facing upwards so that it would not cut through both layers of the bag.  I did use a sticky note to hold the framelit in place.

I did have to buy three lots of Easter eggs as DH ate the first two lots that I bought.  Any chocolate that I buy for class I have to hide otherwise the chocolate doesn't make it to class!

My granddaughter is obsessed with horses.  We don't own a horse yet but I am sure that will change!  Here she is patting the neighbour's horse.  We did take an apple for the horse but Savanna insisted on eating it instead of feeding the horse.  She is now doing horse riding lessons.

Easter Treat Box

I cased this treat box from Sam Donald.  It turned out to be the perfect size for the Maltese Easter Bunny chocolate.  Thanks Sam for sharing the instructions.  Sam has the most amazing tutorials on her blog.  Hop on over and have a look as you won't be disappointed.

I chose to make this box bright and colourful and used the free Sale-a-bration DSP and ribbon.  There are only a few more days left of Sale-a-bration so make sure you don't miss out on your free goodies for every $110 you spend.

Our granddaughter has been spending some time with us.  Here she is helping Grandpa wash the car.  I am not sure how much car washing was actually done with her sitting in the bucket of water fully clothed and supervising Grandpa!

We have also had to install lockable bolts on the top of all the doors as she (at 2 years old) knows how to unlock the doors and go outside by herself.  I guess it won't be long before she knows how to drag a chair over to the door and slide open the bolt.  We have anticipated this and made sure all the bolts have locks and removable keys so that there is no way she can get outside by herself.

Thanks for visiting

Trio of Gifts

I have spent the last few weeks making each of the lovely ladies, who come to my card class, a small gift.  I made up a gift bag of three cards (will show the cards in another post), a small box with a soap inside and a jar of homemade Sugar Lemon Body Scrub.  I do hope they like their gifts.

Here is a close up of the gift bag of cards.  I used the Polka Dot Tag a Bag Gift Bags.  They were the perfect size to fit three cards and envelopes.

A close up of the box.  I measured the size of the soap and then created the box so that the soap would fit exactly right.

I handmade some Sugar Lemon Body Scrub and packaged it into small glass jars.  I then decorated the jar with a tag and some ribbon.  I chose Hello Honey cardstock and ribbon to match the lemon colour body scrub.

Thank you for stopping by today.

GIft Box and Matching Card

I have been playing around with Vellum lately and found that it is really versatile.  The flower is made with a mixture of Crepe Filter Paper and vellum.  The envelope for the 3 x 3 inch card was also made with vellum.  I didn't use any adhesive on the envelope, I just held it closed with some bakers twine and the card front showed through so I didn't even decorate the envelope.  The card fits inside the box perfectly.

Ribbon:  Whisper White Bakers Twine

Treat Bag

I cased this from Stampin Up, but used my own measurements. I used the Natural Composition Speciality paper which is already embossed.  I coloured the pattern with the Stampin Write Markers and wiped away the excess ink with a tissue.  I filled a cellophane bag with treats and threaded the ribbon through all the layers.

Trio of Kraft Boxes

I am totally in love with these kraft boxes and they are so versatile.  I covered a couple in DSP and on the other one I embossed straight onto the box.

I just have to include a couple of photos of my gorgeous kitties as I spent some time taking heaps of photos of them over the Christmas Break amongst all the physcial labour of building retaining walls, planting plants, etc.  I was pleased to go back to work for a break!!!

Card and Mini Milk Carton

This set would be perfect for all those girly girls out there.  I used the retiring stamp set Clearly for You.  I really like this set and should of used it more.  I also added bling using the lovely Silver Glimmer paper.  I am sure you recognise this set as I cased it out of the 2011/2012 idea book and catalogue on page 88.

Cute Little Boxes

I totally CASED this little box from Tanya Bell.  Isn't it just too sweet.  I also made another slightly larger one and a little card to match it.  I made the whole set from all my left over card, ribbon and DSP.  I used the new Simply Scored Scoring Tool which made the whole process even quicker.  The Diagonal Scoring Plate is next on my wish list.
