A Forgotten Card

I was clearing out my stash of cards this weekend and I found this card that I realised I hadn't uploaded on to my blog.  Sale-a-Bration had such lovely papers, ribbons and stamp sets this year.

Since the weather was awful I spent the weekend watching the Olympics  and weren't the Black Sticks awesome to win their match against the Aussies?  While I watched TV, I cleared out all my left over kits from classes and made up all the cards.  I now have this huge pile of cards which I am going to post to my BFF and my favourite Aunty.

Post-It Note Holder

I have so many scraps that I really do need to start reducing them.  I decided to make this little sticky note holder.  Thanks Gloria for the lovely inspiration as your ones were just lovely.  I think these would make lovely gifts.

Another gift

I have seen these cute little bags on many different blogs and just had to make one.  The first time I saw this bag was on Kathryn Lowe's blog. So I whipped up one for the little girl who delivers our local newspaper and filled it with lollies.

A set of Thank You Cards

My youngest daughter is having a baby shower so I made a whole bunch of thank you cards for her.  I used kits that I had left over from classes and adapted them to suit so that all the cards followed a similar style.  I made a few in different colours, cardstock and patterned paper.  I stamped inside the cards and on the envelopes so that everything matched. I do hope she likes them.  My favourite colour combination is Rich Razzleberry and So Saffron.  Hubby likes the Old Olive and Melon Mamba - he said it was more vibrant except he called it the green and pink card.

Out of Africa

This is the first time I have inked up this stamp set and it looks like I will be using it a bit more.  I used the masking and rock n roll techniques on this set.  The animals are just plain ink but I used the rock n roll technique on the trees.  You can't quite see it in the photo but I used cajun craze, early espresso and river rock inks for the trees. I also used the Linen Thread as I find it is softer to work with than the Hemp Twine.

Sponging

I cased this card from Paula Dobson - thank you.  My card is not as good as hers as I think she is the queen of sponging and brayering (is that a word?).  I don't own a brayer yet so I just used sponges on my card.
