Easter Treat Bag

Love love love these Petite Café Gift Bags!  They are even food safe.  I cut the oval by placing the framelit in the inside of the bag with the cutting lip facing upwards so that it would not cut through both layers of the bag.  I did use a sticky note to hold the framelit in place.

I did have to buy three lots of Easter eggs as DH ate the first two lots that I bought.  Any chocolate that I buy for class I have to hide otherwise the chocolate doesn't make it to class!

My granddaughter is obsessed with horses.  We don't own a horse yet but I am sure that will change!  Here she is patting the neighbour's horse.  We did take an apple for the horse but Savanna insisted on eating it instead of feeding the horse.  She is now doing horse riding lessons.

Beautiful Butterflies

I attended stamp camp in February and the card below is the one I made for my swap card.  I received such beautiful swaps back in return.  I had a fabulous time at camp and I am already looking forward to next years one.

I made the same card using soft sky.

Inside of the card

The other day I had to separate the ewes from the rams.  I thought that this is going to be fun - not, especially as I was leaving for stamp camp later.  I did have the afternoon off as I was looking after my granddaughter.  Imagine one toddler and 18 sheep.  No dogs, only a two year old and me. Well at least I had the whole afternoon to do this.  So off we went to separate the sheep.  My granddaughter was fabulous.  Kept the lambs busy while I separated some of the sheep.  She then helped me move them so that the rams were in one paddock and the ewes in another.  What a trooper and it only took us an hour!  Here is a picture of her climbing over the gate after we had finished.  We went swimming afterwards to cool off.

Thanks for stopping by to visit.

Easter Treat Box

I cased this treat box from Sam Donald.  It turned out to be the perfect size for the Maltese Easter Bunny chocolate.  Thanks Sam for sharing the instructions.  Sam has the most amazing tutorials on her blog.  Hop on over and have a look as you won't be disappointed.

I chose to make this box bright and colourful and used the free Sale-a-bration DSP and ribbon.  There are only a few more days left of Sale-a-bration so make sure you don't miss out on your free goodies for every $110 you spend.

Our granddaughter has been spending some time with us.  Here she is helping Grandpa wash the car.  I am not sure how much car washing was actually done with her sitting in the bucket of water fully clothed and supervising Grandpa!

We have also had to install lockable bolts on the top of all the doors as she (at 2 years old) knows how to unlock the doors and go outside by herself.  I guess it won't be long before she knows how to drag a chair over to the door and slide open the bolt.  We have anticipated this and made sure all the bolts have locks and removable keys so that there is no way she can get outside by herself.

Butterfly Basics

This is another card that I cased from the Occasions catalogue.  When I lose my mojo I always turn to one of the catalogues for ideas. Butterfly Basics is definitely one of my all time favourite stamp sets together with the matching thinlit dies.

Inside the card
I have not been stamping or crafting much.  Been a bit busy in the garden.  Here are a couple of photos of some of the stuff I have been doing.  The green bench is an old one that DH made for me years ago.  I did think of repainting it but have decided that I like the worn weathered look.  I have been spending quite a bit of time in the garden as I would like to enter our local gardening competition in the next couple of years.  I have a really big garden so everything seems to take longer than normal to do.

Don't you love those boots.  I took a old pair of DH's boots and planted some flowers in them.

Here is a photo from the other side.  I found that old scale and thought it would be perfect for the garden with a plant on top of it.  DH surprised me one day and come home with that really cute owl.  Even my little granddaughter thinks it is cute as she cannot leave it alone and wants to keep cuddling it.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Flower Shoppe

This is one of the cards that I cased from the main catalogue - page 67.  I made the card the same as the one in the catty but changed the colours. This card is part of a Christmas package that I gave to all the ladies who come to my card class.  You can see the original post here.

From the Herd

This stamp set has to be one of my all time favourites.  I made this for a very special friend. She lives on a farm so I knew she would appreciate it.  I used the blendie pens but sadly these are no longer available until Stampin Up have resolved some issues they are having with them.

I also stamped the image a second time on a separate piece of cardstock and coloured in the pig, chicken and bird.  I fussy cut them and mounted them with dimensionals over the top of the corresponding animal for a 3D effect.

Thanks for stopping by.

Creative Inkers Occasions Blog Hop

Welcome to another blog hop with the Creative Inkers team - this time we are show casing the new Occasions Catalogue.  Have a look at my creations and then carry on hoping over to look at the rest of the team's awesome creations!

If you are following the blog hop, you will have come from the very creative Ria Kaire's blog.    If you have just joined my page keep following the loop round to see everyone's gorgeous projects.

There are just so many lovely new items in the Occasion's catalogue that I had such a hard time choosing what to show.  I finally decided on the Something Lacy stamp set.

Now onto my projects.  I used the blendabilties pens for these cards.  I only used one stamped image and then cut it to make two cards.

Since I am addicted to colouring I made another card but only used Melon Mamba, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive blendabilities for this one.

See the bottom of the post for the list of supplies.

I hope you've enjoyed my cards - now you're going to head over to Kathe Oldham to see her stunning projects, just click the next button.

Creative Inkers Sal-a-bration Blog Hop

Another blog hop with the Creative Inkers team so have a look at my creations and then carry on hoping over to look at the rest of the team's awesome creations!

If you are new to Blog Hopping, just view my post and then click on the link at the bottom of my post to visit the next site and so on.

If you've been following the blog hop, you will have come from Ria Kaire's blog.  Didn't she have a stunning project to show us.  If you have just joined my page keep following the loop round to see everyone's gorgeous projects.  If you get 'lost', there's a list of all the blogs at the bottom of this post.

I am currently sitting outside (under cover of course) in the beautiful, actually extremely hot, summer weather typing up my post, while sipping an ice cold drink and enjoying the lovely breeze that is blowing.  Summer is just such a happy season and who doesn't love summer?

Now onto my projects.  Here are both the cards together.  I used the same stamp set but totally different colours and attempted to change the style but I am not sure I succeeded!!! I tried to keep both cards really simple but I seem to have this thing with layers so I ended up adding them.

For my first card I had to use the gorgeous Irresistibly Yours DSP and sponged Hello Honey diagonally across the centre and Lost Lagoon on the opposite corners.

For my second card I went for monochrome and only used Pinks and Vanilla.  I stamped the Lotus Blossom all over the front of the cards instead of using plain card or DSP.

I also decorated the inside of the card.

See the bottom of the post for the list of supplies.

I hope you've enjoyed my cards - now you're going to head over to Kathe Oldham to see her lovely projects, just click the next button.
