A simple card

I love the simplicity of this card which I cased from Bettina und Maria.  On the second card I stepped it up slightly with some little punched flowers and rhines stones.  I only used marker pens for these cards.

Happy Birthday using 2013 - 2015 In Colours

I am loving the new in colours as they are such soft and pretty colours.  I cased this card from page 123 of the catalogue.  Instead of using buttons I opted for butterflies.

A Quick Card using Buttons

This was a really quick and easy card to make. A great way to use up all those buttons I tend to horde.

Thanks for dropping in

More Sampler Cards

I love these sampler cards so much that I made 3 more of them.  I used three different stamp sets, French Foliage, Collage Curios and Nature Walk.  These stamp sets are retiring at the end of the month.  The one I am going to miss the most is French Foliage as it is one of my favourite stamp sets.

Pots of Flowers

Aren't these just too cute for words.  I loved them so much I made 5 of them.  It was the perfect day for staying indoors and stamping as it rained for most of the day.  The fire was going and it was lovely and cozy.

Birthday Card Sampler

I have a lovely bunch of girlfriends and we always meet up for lunch whenever it is someone's birthday.  They always get a handmade card and this card was inspired by Penny Thomas.  I have seen quite a few sampler cards around and they are just gorgeous.  I am looking forward to making a few more of these.

GIft Box and Matching Card

I have been playing around with Vellum lately and found that it is really versatile.  The flower is made with a mixture of Crepe Filter Paper and vellum.  The envelope for the 3 x 3 inch card was also made with vellum.  I didn't use any adhesive on the envelope, I just held it closed with some bakers twine and the card front showed through so I didn't even decorate the envelope.  The card fits inside the box perfectly.

A card I don't like and one I do

Do you ever make a card but just feel that there is something not right about it?  Well that is how I felt about the "the best things in life" card.  I even tried different colours but it was just not coming together.

I decided to change the above card and this is what I came up.  I was much happier with the second card.

Treat Bag

I cased this from Stampin Up, but used my own measurements. I used the Natural Composition Speciality paper which is already embossed.  I coloured the pattern with the Stampin Write Markers and wiped away the excess ink with a tissue.  I filled a cellophane bag with treats and threaded the ribbon through all the layers.

Ribbon:  3/8" (1 cm) Taffeta Ribbon in Not Quite Navy and Linen Thread

Baby Card

My third granddaughter had her naming ceromony a few weeks ago and as I was not able to go, I sent a card.  You can't really see from the photo but there is lots of dazzling diamonds on the butterflies.  My daughter loves bling so how could I send a card without bling.  I also added some Rhinestones to the middle butterfly.

My step daughter started her new job a few weeks ago.  I quickly whipped up this card and box set for her. I made the box after watching Connie Stewarts video on You Tube. Thanks for sharing Connie!

I purchased a extra large slab of chocolate  and made the box to fit the size of the chocolate.
