Trio of Gifts

I have spent the last few weeks making each of the lovely ladies, who come to my card class, a small gift.  I made up a gift bag of three cards (will show the cards in another post), a small box with a soap inside and a jar of homemade Sugar Lemon Body Scrub.  I do hope they like their gifts.

Here is a close up of the gift bag of cards.  I used the Polka Dot Tag a Bag Gift Bags.  They were the perfect size to fit three cards and envelopes.

A close up of the box.  I measured the size of the soap and then created the box so that the soap would fit exactly right.

I handmade some Sugar Lemon Body Scrub and packaged it into small glass jars.  I then decorated the jar with a tag and some ribbon.  I chose Hello Honey cardstock and ribbon to match the lemon colour body scrub.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Creative Inkers Christmas Holiday Blog Hop 2014

This is my first ever participation in a Blog Hop.  So I hope you enjoy the rest of the Creative Inkers Christmas Blog Hop.  If you are new to Blog Hopping, just view my post and then click on the link at the bottom of my post to visit the next site and so on.

If you've been following the blog hop, you will have come from Irene Wardlaw's blog.  Didn't she have a stunning project to show us.  If you have just joined my page keep following the loop round to see everyone's gorgeous projects.  If you get 'lost' there's a list of all the blogs at the bottom of this post.

Now onto my projects.

For my first project I made a quick card.  It still has the layers that I love but it fast and easy to make.

My next project was a little Santa Claus which includes punch art.  I was inspired by the roll of chocolates that I purchased from the local supermarket.  I think this would be a perfect little table gift for the children.

While I was making Santa I decided to try a snowman as well.  Isn't he too cute for words.  He was really easy to make and doesn't need nearly as many punches as Santa.

See the bottom of the post for the list of supplies.

I hope you've enjoyed my card - now you're going to head over to Jacque Williams to see her lovely projects, just click the next button.

Star Shaker Card

I am really loving stars at the moment.  Shaker cards are really easy to make as well.  Dimensions and window sheets and whatever shape takes your fancy.

I did get out the new Confetti Stars punch.  I punched out the stars using Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper and saved the stars for the shaker part of the card.  I also added a few Frosted Sequins in with the stars.

I did have to rescue the stars off the floor as my cat, Bandit, plonked himself down on top of them and they went flying everywhere.  I managed to retrieve most of them but Bandit did walk around with a star or two stuck to him for a while.

I used the sketch from Fab Friday 49 as I needed some inspiration.  A sketch always helps when my mojo is missing.

Christmas Ornament and Boxes

I love Christmas.  Since the weather was so awful yesterday - we had over a 100mm of rain - I played with the star framelits to see if I could come up with a Christmas ornament like the one we had a couple of years ago.  I am going to try it out in a couple of different colours as well.

I also ended up making a little box to match it as well as a star box.  I cased the box of Sam Donald as she just makes the most gorgeous little boxes.  The star box I cased from Judy May as her instructions were easy to follow.  Thank you both.

Z Fold Card

I cased this card from Stamp and Scrap with Frenchie.  She has some lovely work on blog so do stop by and have a look.

I managed to cut the cardstock in such a way so that I could get two cards from one piece of A4 cardstock.

Cottage Garden Again

I told you how much I love this stamp.  This time I stamped the image and then coloured it in.  I limited myself to just three colours.  I punched out squares and managed to get 9 squares from the one stamped and coloured image which meant I could make 3 cards.  I also decorated the front and back of the envelopes.

Thanks for visiting.

Colourful Cottage Garden

Cottage Garden was my latest stamp purchase.  I just love it but I think that is because I love love love colouring in and Stampin' Up's new Blendability pens are fabulous.  I have seen this stamp coloured in on the internet but I didn't copy anyone's design just sat down and blended away.

I had small strip left over after I mounted it onto a note card which I then used on the front of my envelope. Everyone decorates their envelopes as well don't they?

Maybe a card for a Wedding or Anniversary

I have had the Fancy Foil Designer Vellum sitting in my cupboard and I just didn't know what to do with it.  I kept trying it but it just didn't look good on any card.  I was browsing through the catalogue looking for a card to CASE and found one on page 158.  Out came the vellum and 20 minutes later my card was done.

This card would be perfect for a wedding card or a golden anniversary.

As I was cleaning up I had a couple of pieces of vellum left over and couldn't bear to throw it out as it is just so pretty.  I quickly whipped up a little box/bag to go with the card.

My First Sketch Challenge

I was tidying my desk and found some flowers that I had coloured a while ago using the new Stampin Up Blendabilities Markers.  I just could not decide how they would fit on a card.  I found a few sketches on line and as soon as I saw the one on the Freshly Made Sketches blog I knew that it would be perfect for my flowers.  I ended up making three cards in a very short time.
